Experience a Prehistoric Summer at the Préhistomuseum!

This summer, discover the daily life of the first farmers and herders. Explore our newly renovated prehistoric farm and immerse yourself in the skills, knowledge and traditions of the Neolithic period.

Visitors of all ages can learn more about the everyday lives of our ancestors: feeding animals, shaping pottery, grinding cereals, watching prehistoric tool polishing demonstrations, and taking part in hands-on activities inspired by Neolithic know-how.

A new mascot is also joining the adventure this summer: a little hairy pig will be keeping Milos company and welcoming visitors throughout the season!

- Animal Feeding
Join our team to meet the farm animals and discover how domestication transformed the relationship between humans and nature.

- Pottery Workshop
Learn the techniques of the first craftspeople by shaping your own clay creation.

- Adze Polishing Demonstrations
Discover how stone tools were made and why they revolutionised the lives of Neolithic communities.

- Grain Grinding
Try using grinding stones to produce your own flour and take on the challenge: who can grind the most?

- Agricultural Demonstrations
Watch demonstrations of prehistoric harvesting techniques and the tools used thousands of years ago.

- Let's Build a Neolithic House Together!
Take part in the construction of a wattle-and-daub wall, a building technique used for thousands of years. Earth, straw, wood and teamwork come together in an immersive experience that reveals how our ancestors built their homes.

- Nature Games and Activities
Challenges, hands-on activities and discoveries will enrich your visit throughout the summer.
